Bareback & Saddle Bronc Riding – Junior, Senior, and Novice Divisions

The 2025 Junior National Finals Rodeo (JNFR), produced by Las Vegas Events, will take place December 4–14, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, running in conjunction with the world-renowned National Finals Rodeo. For 10 thrilling days, the JNFR will unfold at the Las Vegas Convention Center, located in the heart of downtown.

The Junior Roughstock Association (JRA) proudly serves as the official qualifying system for rising bareback and saddle bronc riders—young athletes who aspire to one day compete under the bright lights of the Thomas & Mack Center at the National Finals Rodeo.

Throughout the event, these dedicated contestants will compete for more than $1 million in combined cash and prizes, battling for the honor of earning a coveted Junior National Finals Rodeo Championship Title.

The Junior Roughstock Association’s featured events at the JNFR will run December 4–8, 2025, showcasing the Junior, Senior, and Novice divisions of bareback and saddle bronc riding.

Additional contestants will be added as regional finals are completed.

Contestants who have qualified for the 2025 Junior National Finals Rodeo must complete the official entry process no later than October 1, 2025. All required entry forms have been sent directly via email and are also available for download on the Contestant Information Page.

Schedule Overview

The 2025 Junior National Finals Rodeo will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 4–14, 2025.

  • Bareback & Saddle Bronc Riding: December 4–8, 2025
     
  • Additional Junior NFR Events: December 9–14, 2025
     

Join us throughout the week as the nation’s top youth roughstock athletes compete for championship titles and carry forward the proud tradition of rodeo.

Venue Information

The 2025 Junior National Finals Rodeo – Junior Roughstock Association Finals will be hosted at the Wrangler Arena, located in the Platinum Lot, directly adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall.

This convenient location offers easy access for contestants, families, and fans, placing the action in the heart of Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo.

Detailed maps and additional venue information will be provided closer to the event to assist with parking, entry, and navigation.

Where Do we Park?

 

Parking Information

Parking will be available directly adjacent to the Wrangler Arena, providing convenient access for contestants, personnel, and guests. Adequate parking has been arranged to accommodate the needs of all participants throughout the event.

Detailed parking maps and additional information will be included in contestant packets, which will be distributed prior to the event or provided at check-in.Along with the maps this information will be shared closer to the event. 

How Do You Enter ?

 

Contestant Entry Process

Qualified contestants may enter the 2025 Junior National Finals Rodeo – Junior Roughstock Association Finals by either following the instructions in their welcome email or by clicking the event poster located under the Junior NFR Finals tab on the official website. Please note: only qualified contestants are eligible to enter this event.

Entries for this event will open on September 1, 2025, and will close on September 30, 2025. All contestants must complete the process within this timeframe.

The entry process will be completed in two steps:

Step One:
Qualified contestants will receive an email from the Junior Roughstock Association (JRA) with links to enter, pay fees, and purchase additional items. For this step, contestants will need to submit the following:

  • A high-quality headshot (chest-up only; full-body images will not be accepted)
     
  • Contestant’s insurance card
     
  • Contestant’s birth certificate
     

Step Two:
After completing Step One, contestants will receive a follow-up email from SaddleBook to provide all necessary information to Las Vegas Events. This step will open October 1, 2025, and must be completed no later than October 15, 2025.

Contestants will be notified of this two-part process via email. Failure to complete both steps by the designated deadlines will result in forfeiture of entry.

Admission Information

Tickets for the 2025 Junior National Finals Rodeo – Junior Roughstock Association Finals will be available for purchase at the arena entrance.

  • Single-Day Pass: $10
     
  • Five-Day Pass: $40

Awards & Recognition

  • Round Champions: Awards will be presented daily at the conclusion of each performance.
     
  • Short Go & Finals: Qualifiers and event champions will receive their prizes on December 8, 2025.

How to qualify for the 2026 Junior National Finals

Region/Series

  

Contestants will have the opportunity to compete in a series and/or regional rodeo(s), each of which will culminate in its own finals event. From those finals, the top contestants in each division will advance to the next level of competition, ultimately earning the chance to qualify for the Junior National Finals Rodeo. Contestants will have the opportunity to compete in a series and/or regional rodeo(s), each of which will culminate in its own finals event. From those finals, the top contestants in each division will advance to the next level of competition, ultimately earning the chance to qualify for the Junior National Finals Rodeo. The exact number of qualifiers allotted from each region is determined by the overall participation and number of contestants who competed within that specific series or region, ensuring a fair and proportional advancement process. This structure allows every region, regardless of size, to send its best competitors forward while rewarding areas with higher contestant participation with additional qualifying positions.

Directors can provide guidance on entry deadlines, finals schedules, and advancement opportunities to help contestants navigate the path toward Las Vegas.

In addition, invitations will be extended to the National High School Rodeo Association Champion as well as to top contestants from high school regions and states that committed to sanctioning prior to January 1, 2026. Organizations interested in co-sanctioning for the 2026 season are strongly encouraged to contact the national office no later than January 1, 2026 to be considered.
